To our Cherry Hill Atlantic family - With the recent cancellations of the Little League World Series and the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year, several have inquired
about the status of Atlantic’s Spring 2020 baseball and softball seasons. Although Little League International’s global restrictions end May 11th and some states have announced that they will resume play very shortly, we have not reached that point
here in South Jersey.
We know that a traditional spring season is not realistic. However, we are staying optimistic that youth sports will return to our area, sooner than later. When local restrictions are lifted, we
fully intend to provide a baseball and softball experience for our kids, so long as we believe it can be done in a safe manner. Unfortunately, at this time, both when that can happen and how things will look when it does is the great unknown.
For now, we will continue to closely follow guidance from our local and state officials as well as our regional Little League leadership.
We truly appreciate the patience and understanding that you have demonstrated as we navigate through these difficult times. Please know that while out of sight, you are not out of our minds. We continue to
actively maintain the fields and complex, keeping everything ready for a safe return. The Board
communicates regularly, sharing ideas and exploring options. We hope to see baseball return to Atlantic in the near future. In the interim, please reach out with any questions.
For those families who ordered Atlantic and/or Sharks gear from Third Base – we have been in contact with Third Base and those items were in production when the Governor implemented the shutdown.
All items that were ordered and paid for will be provided to us once the work restrictions are lifted and as soon as that happens, we will be in touch with everyone to distribute the gear safely.
Stay safe, healthy and sane.
We will play again, hopefully sooner than later.
Sincerely,
Cherry Hill Atlantic Board of Directors
