2023 Spring Baseball
T-BALL BASEBALL (Boys & Girls Ages 4 and 5) This is an introduction to the game of baseball where players have fun and learn defensive positions, fielding, and how to properly use a bat and glove. Batters hit off a tee to begin developing hand - eye coordination. No "outs" are tracked at this level and scores or standings are not kept. There are no evaluations required for T-Ball.
"A" BASEBALL (Boys & Girls Ages 5 and 6) No evaluations required for this level where players have fun and learn defense, fielding, and how to properly use a bat and glove. 5-year olds who have already played a year of T-Ball are eligible to play at this level. Players will continue to hit from the tee with an introduction to coach and machine pitch. The concept of making an out is introduced to help the children to better understand the basic rules of the game. No scores or standings are kept.
"AA" BASEBALL (Ages 7 and 8) Rules - No evaluations required for this level. All seven and eight-year olds are eligible for this level of play. Players will hit from the pitching machine and are introduced to kid pitch. Scores and standings are kept for this level of competition. Teams are made up by neighborhoods and schools.
"AAA" BASEBALL (Ages 8, 9 & 10) Rules - All eight, nine and ten year olds are eligible to play AAA. Eleven year old players that are not prepared to play in the Majors division will also be eligible. This is a competitive level of baseball where players pitch the entire season. Scores and standings are kept. All players MUST ATTEND an evaluation to be considered for this level of play. Each team will be assigned a manager and coach. Players are selected via draft. Special requests will not be honored.
MAJORS 50/70 BASEBALL (Ages 11 ,12 and 13) This is a more competitive level of play with scores and standings kept. Players should possess most skills needed to play competitively. All players MUST ATTEND an evaluation to be considered for Majors play. Each team will be assigned a manager and coach. Teams are picked via a draft and no requests will be honored.
JUNIOR LEAGUE BASEBALL (Ages 13 and 14) Players age 13 and 14 can continue to play under the Little League brand. We are the only league in Cherry Hill with a regulation-sized (90-foot base paths) lighted field. The league participates in both internal league games (within Cherry Hill) and external games (outside Cherry Hill but usually within a short drive). Each team typically has a 16-18 game schedule, excluding playoffs. Weekday games start at 7pm and most weekend games are scheduled on Saturday's.
SENIOR LEAGUE BASEBALL (Ages 15 and 16) Players age 15 and 16 can continue to play under the Little League brand. We are the only league in Cherry Hill with a regulation-sized (90-foot base paths) lighted field. The league participates in both internal league games (within Cherry Hill) and external games (outside Cherry Hill but usually within a short drive). Each team typically has a 16-18 game schedule, excluding playoffs. Weekday games start at 7pm and most weekend games are scheduled on Saturday's.
BIG LEAGUE BASEBALL (Ages 17 and 18) Players ages 17 and 18 can continue to play here at Cherry Hill Atlantic. We are the only league in Cherry Hill with a regulation-sized (90-foot base paths) lighted field. The league participates in external games outside of Cherry Hill against teams from neighboring towns within a short drive . Each team typically has a 16-18 game schedule, excluding playoffs. Weekday games start at 7pm and most weekend games are scheduled on Saturday's.
2023 Spring Softball
COACH PITCH SOFTBALL (Ages 7 & 8) The pitching will be done exclusively by the coaches. The games are played on the full sized softball field. The players will continue to learn the fundamentals of hitting and learn pitch selection and more advanced base running throughout the year. An emphasis will be placed on players learning all of the defensive positions and further their understanding of the rules of the game as it is played at the higher levels. Games will be played at Cherry Hill Atlantic as well as at other area Little Leagues.
MINORS SOFTBALL (Ages 9 & 10) This division will play the entire season with the players pitching. Umpires will be introduced to the game and the rules (with a few minor modifications for pace of play) will be that of an official softball game. Games will include walks, base stealing and bunting. Players will learn to slide safely and properly. More attention will be given to more advanced defensive play. The 11” softball will be used and the pitching distance will be 35’. Scores will be kept. Games will be played at Cherry Hill Atlantic as well as at other area Little Leagues.
MAJORS SOFTBALL (Ages 10, 11 and 12) This is the most competitive level of play with scores kept and standings posted. Players should possess most skills needed to play competitively. Official Little League game rules (with a few minor modifications for pace of play) will be followed. The 12” softball will be used and the pitching distance will be 40’. Games will be played at Cherry Hill Atlantic as well as at other area Little Leagues.
